Sounding is one thing I'd love to try. It may look weird but I find it super hot...

Like anything new, go slow, be gentle, use lots of lube. You shouldn't have to use much pressure at all to insert a sounding rod. In fact, after getting it started, I'll usually let the weight of a stainless rod take over and it will naturally slide in on its own as I hold it upright.

Biggest thing is to make sure your toy is thoroughly sterilized and lubed. I've had the best luck with stainless rods for these reasons.

I've seen a lot of recommendations for surgilube for sounding, but it seemed too thick and turned into more of a gel when I tried it. I prefer my regular water based lube.

The biggest thing is keeping things clean and sterile. You don’t want infection. Make sure you get medical grade material devices that you will be using because they minimize bacteria

Like everyone has said, take it slow, and keep things clean and sterile. Start with a smaller size and use a good lube. To start off, take a small dollop of lube and rub it on your ***hole, then lube up your sound and insert it slowly. You should just feel the pressure of the sound going down your *** hole. If there’s any ***, stop what you’re doing and remove it. Also, if you should feel any resistance, do not *** it in. Lastly, enjoy it. When done right, it’s an amazing feeling.

Metal ones you boil them. You can boil silicone sounds unless they vibrate, those you wash thoroughly with hot water and a good antibacterial soap.
