I flew to Iowa from Hawaii to meet my wife the first time never having met. Still married 21 years later. Selection for men is far difference in different lifestyle so the likelihood of finding someone you match with that's relatively close is much less likely. I have also found that hours driven/distance is totally geographically different. In California, 2 hours would get you halfway to Vegas. In KY, there are times where you driving for 2 hours was three towns over because of geography.
