Sling installation question

I’m getting a new sling and have been looking for what I thought was a simple answer; how do you install it? Specifically I want to know how far out should you place the ceiling bolts.   Any advice or recommendations about installation would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I assume you mean height down from ceiling? As close as possible to minimise and bend. The rope/chains will do the rest. Please ensure the ceiling bolts are into a beam or rafter.... a modern house may need additional support in the loft of upstairs as beams not as thick as floor beams. 

 

I’ve not fitted one but opinion is from a practical point of view, an engineers mind!
