I’d say bad sex can ruin how you feel about the experience of sex as a whole. I love sex a lot ( obviously look at the app I’m on), but I think I’d prefer no sex because I’d at least have that positive assumption of what sex can be rather than the negative experiences that I may have

Is it bad in my opinion, or bad in the opinion of both parties? Makes a big difference.
If it’s bad for both, then none is better as sex has become an obligation that neither party want but think the other does. Communication and agreement to no sex is better for both. Find a joint hobby and dive into that.
If it’s bad for me, but my partner gets enjoyment out of it and wants/needs it, then suck it up buttercup. At that point you’re there to ensure maximum pleasure and enjoyment is received.
