Deleting/Hiding

I do not know if this is the correct place to ask this specific thing, but here goes.

I have posted comments, in the past, that I have wanted to delete, but cannot; so I end up having to report my own comments to get them removed. Surely there should be a delete/edit button?

Similarly for posts that I do not want to see, can a button be added to "hide content" the same as you can on other social media sites? There are some photos especially, that I see, and I cannot remove them, but neither can I avoid seeing them when looking for other content.
