BDSM Hanover

Formerly Play House Studios and Gallery, Baltimore Playhouse was officially established in April 2014 and opened in October 2014 to help meet the needs of the local community. Baltimore Playhouse continues to build on that original history while also bringing new ideas, energy and resources to the community. Note: At this time, all events are RSVP only and can only be done through the @balto_playhouse profile on Fetlife.

In the heart of Baltimore, Tabu Social Club has become one of Maryland’s most well-known and long-running adult lifestyle venues — a space where sensuality, community, and exploration thrive. Since opening in 1999, Tabu has provided a safe, upscale, and welcoming environment for open-minded adults to meet, connect, and express themselves freely. Tabu isn’t a dungeon in the traditional sense, but it’s an essential part of the local swing, fetish, and BDSM community, offering multiple play spaces, themed parties, and private rooms designed for consensual adult exploration. It’s a members-only club, emphasizing discretion, safety, and respect for every guest. The facility spans multiple levels and includes playrooms, lounges, a dance floor, a full bar, a group play area, and private rooms for more intimate encounters. Lighting, music, and decor create a seductive yet comfortable atmosphere, where guests can relax, mingle, or indulge in consensual play. A dedicated BDSM and fetish area provides access to furniture such as spanking benches, crosses, and other equipment for kink-oriented scenes. Membership is required, and guests must be 21 or older. New visitors are encouraged to review Tabu’s code of conduct, which emphasizes mutual respect and the importance of consent. Photography and recording are strictly prohibited, and the club en***s a “no means no” policy at all times. Tabu Social Club operates on a BYOB policy and provides mixers and setups on-site. Events range from theme nights, private parties, and fetish gatherings to special events for couples, singles, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. The club’s calendar also features exclusive nights for kink-curious guests, creating opportunities to explore BDSM play in a guided and respectful setting.
