How do you prepare your bodies for extensive bondage?

Recommended Posts

I’m curious, how does everyone prepare their bodies for periods of rope play and bondage? I thought I was pretty fit and flexible but there must be some practice or exercise to strengthen your arms and legs to be able endure more? Looking forward to the answers, especially from women who enjoy this
I think any exercise that helps mobility and flexibility will help. Yoga, tai chi, lifting free weights like kettle bells, and stretching so you can relax muscle tension not get cramps or spasms
Stretching and water are my go to if I know I’m being tied up for long then an hour
There are actually a lot of rope bottoming classes, at least in London. Where you can get tips ans exercises from professional rope bottoms. However, start with general flexibility and core strength. Remember the rope sessions themselves can be a bit of a workout, we use muscle groups that just aren't used in daily life. Good luck :)
Eat bananas for potassium and drink pickle juice for the electrolytes.
Going in hydrated is key. Having a good workout regimen is also crucial. But nutrients help before and after
Plenty of hydrating liquids, potassium, fresh fruits and remember to use the br before you start or speak up if needed of course, and remember to take extra time to stretch as well good luck
Former rope bunnies of mine usually did yoga. Made certain ties easier but it’s always important to never do more that what your body is comfortable doing
Same way I prepare for any full contact sport. Stretching, plenty of fluids, and if I am switching plenty of ibuprofen. Usually in my drop kit I also have massage oil and tiger balm as well as bio freeze. I usually apply it to them after the post play aftercare bath.

Wow, I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread.

I feel kind of stupid for not considering stretching before doing any bondage.😑

It's common sense when you think about it, if you're gonna hold a position for like 30 minutes, your muscles need to be relaxed enough to endure it.

Lots of water too 👍
