The new layout for chat on PC is a real downgrade and completely ruins the experience entirely. Petition to change it.

Not really sure who felt the need to completely change the functionality and layout of chat on the PC web version, but my god is it terrrrrrrrible now. You can barely see more than 3 or 4 msgs at a time whereas you used to see about 10 or so at once. This makes it annoyingly chaotic and so much more difficult to keep up with what's going on. Not to mention how the profiles preview pics are have been reduced to these ***y tiny little circles you can barely make out ( and I have a 52 inch tv as my monitor ) and the fact that anyone can post whatever pics they feel like in there is just... baffling... to me. Along with a whole host of other problems that have been going on.

 

Who on Earth thought any of that was a good idea? 

 

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way and if you agree I'd ask that you please leave a comment or a like here in support of changing it back to the old way because I sincerely almost am wanting to ask for my premium membership *** back over this. That's how awful it is. Part of the reason I enjoyed being here was the atmosphere in chat, and now that's completely ruined with a god awful revamp that wasn't completely unnecessary in the first place.

Thanks for your detailed feedback on the new PC chat layout – and to everyone else who joined in. We understand that big changes can be frustrating at first, and some parts of the update may still feel unfamiliar or in need of improvement.

The new design was introduced to improve long-term performance and stability, and to offer a more consistent user experience across all platforms. Alongside the visual update, several new features were added – including more customizable chat windows, the ability to share and view images, voice messages, improved Whisper integration, and more control over your chat experience.

That said, we’re aware that some changes – like the reduced message view or smaller profile pictures – aren’t working well for everyone. We've already passed your feedback on to our product team for review.
