in general, I guess - if something is still running there's demand to watch it - and I don't have to

mind, Walking Dead, some of the pacing was off - was it series 2 where the entire series was just one comic drawn out?!   

I didn't watch Lost but part of the reason I didn't is I was aware they added extra seasons to pad it out.

Very few shows seem to be able to make over 3-6 seasons without leading to repetition, tedium and feeling formulaic and stretched out artificially. As well as i think writing satisfying conclusions to shows that made great first impressions and and engaging journey.

Feels like limited mini series are so much more powerful as they don’t drag on and overstay their welcome. Midnight mass is a favourite.
I’m also really enjoying From but hope it doesn’t drag itself past where it should have ended. If a show ends leaving you wanting more of it at least in my case I find I look on it more fondly than if I drop or it ends and i feel relief and glad it’s over.
