Are you really dominant

Recommended Posts

To me, a true dominant man understands that a submissive isn't giving up power out of weakness but trusting him enough to drop her armor

Real dominance makes a woman feel seen, deeply safe yet intensely exposed all at once. When she’s in his presence, her brain finally gets permission to turn off the constant need to manage everything, allowing her to melt into sensation and surrender

What do you think?

Most people assume Dominance is about control over someone else. For me, it's one of the few places where my own mind finally gets quiet.

The constant calculations, the planning, the over analyzing every angle, the responsibility and the noise. It's all there every day.

But when I step into who I am, none of that matters. Its all shut off with a snap.

There is only the moment, their reactions their trust and their delectable body my precious canvas.

The overthinking disappears because there isn't room for it. My mindset shifts to being fully present in the moment, my attention narrows, the focus sharpens. Everything unnecessary falls away. Has a lay hands in the most delicious of ways.

I find peace in Dominance.

Not because it gives me power.

Because it releases my mind and demands my presence.

A man who notices subtle cues, is in-tune with his subconscious, and does practical actions that listen to that side of him. Not in his head. Not focused on getting. In his heart.

And I would argue that knows that overthinking means you aren’t living some part of your life true to yourself. True dominance is 24/7 because the subconscious is understood. Not discounting other views but simply pointing out a goal.

Effortlessly leads, provides a safe space to be you, not afraid of losing you for putting you in your place.

Dominance is like respect, you can demand it or command it. Understanding the difference is important.

I’m not sure if you can see my comment. There appears to be a glitch. But it’s about being fully present and being aware of your subconscious. It’s a 24/7 thing. Many Doms are part time to balance their lives or are controlling. When you connect with someone it needs to be for that purpose and not avoiding any part of you. Thanks for this post.

No glitch; all posts in this forum need pre-approval.  Post and wait, rather than post the same thing multiple times.

WoW!! The first time I’ve seen/heard a gentleman explain this in the manner of which you did. A few key words for me were expressed. Seems you e gotten the first step down. Sure wish you were closer to speak more in real life

I can admire your passion being fully present, intentional, and finding peace in the responsibility of leading. That perspective is refreshing.

If it has to be explained on an app for it then were all in really big trouble

I’ve learned assuming isnt needed at this age. So I prefer clarity. Everyone has their own definition and preception.

It's as natural as a heartbeat. I don't have to command or demand or push. It's just a part of my personality, and those who are receptive to it.

A man who allows his partner to remain in her feminine energy. He takes her mental load and leads with her intentions and best interests in mind. A man who protects and keeps his partner safe. One who allows his partner to be able to be *** and not be judged.

A man who knows who holds the true power in a D/s dynamic. Realizing that his partner “allows” him to use her body and can take that away with a single word.

That’s what I feel is a basic description. As with everything, perspective, one’s own experiences and history would differ.

Too many so-called dominant men conflate misogyny, *** and *** with being a dominant.

To me, it’s is almost entirely mental. Yes the sub might enjoy the endorphins that controlled application of *** can bring or being controlled and belittled, however, the most important thing to me is the explicit contract between a dom and a sub which outlines the agreed boundaries.

I believe dominance as far as the BDSM Community is concerned is revolved around ensuring the partner feels a safe comfortable and secure however that can be used on both ends because it is still a dynamic it still takes two people, both of them go hand in hand like a puzzle piece allowing each other to unlock the most of themselves if put in the proper situations.

It takes communication clarity Trust and most of all commitment

I didn’t mean to overwhelm you. I made an error in one post and when came to delete and replace it wasn’t there so I posted the corrected statement

One thing I do think this points to is true dominance listens to women first. Not because we are better but because we are made to nurture. In a true dominant setting her everything thought is felt and supported. Often women aren’t listen to. Not saying that is what you are doing but men being responded to here reminded me of that.

Where can I speak to someone who thinks this way? I just started with wanting to learn. Scared to put myself out there tho. How do I know who is real and who's not?

For 19 years I was in a dynamic with a F alpha and in those years as far as I know she only submitted to me and 1 other. A dominatrix that was very " let's just say very Dominant" This so turned me on. Seeing the toughest woman I have ever had a relationship with being subjected to the same experience that we always prescribed to unicorns and such was absolutely 1 of the best scenes we ever did. I meen break out the tarps and get a lifejacket it's getting wet.
anyway nobody wants a
weak partner, maybe the Lazy
Or weak minded . When I asked her why she submitted To another female.
she said , The energy and power that she brought to the scene was Omnipotent.
2 doms don't make a Right.
But is incredible if you have the right dynamic.
Stay true my friends.
Peace.

I'm a soft dom if anything. It means being assertive, supportive, and conscientious just as much as being erotic. Admittedly though, I am very new son do not have many answers.

I have been called a soft dom in the past. We started in a traditional relationship and explore outwards from there.
What I learned was that it’s not so much how dominating you can, it was close to how can I make her comfortable enough to enjoy what she wants too. I found that submissive wasn’t through *** or domination but in trust that I could keep her safe even when trying new things. I would say too that in the power shift while I was the top and I was in control my sub ultimately held the power. Meaning that she submitted with the comfort that she could stop things if it got too intense or she could feel safe talking about what she wanted and didn’t. I haven’t been in a dynamic in a while so this might be a little off in some aspects.

A dominant man is someone who’s comfortable with taking the lead who loves to protect, who loves to take care of someone who doesn’t mind making the decisions like where to go where to eat things like that . The dominant man gives off a certain level of self-confidence that is attractive, especially to a submissive female .
