Hi, why not "google" your request? You get instant answers rather than hanging around waiting for someone to spot your question.

More the point - the links you need can’t be posted in here.

North East of England - I'm in the process of adding some to this site, did get a prompt my listing for Liber8 needs more info - next event is September for that.

Munches, NE there's pretty much fucktonnes - honestly, far more than we need.  I want to speak to some of the other munch organisers who are not on *this* site to see if they're happy for theirs to be listed.   I'm also going to add the one I run, Sunderland, soon-ish.

There are munches in Teeside, Redcar and Stockton - but I can't really post the details here... although...

As long as you're not posting links, you could post details such as time and place etc, I don't think there's any rules against that. :)

The problem with ‘times and places’ Is it’s out of date a week later. Come on.....

If this site wants to become more relevant outside of the UK it also needs to acknowledge there’s a far bigger world out there - you can’t have it both ways.

So - I’m not putting this up as a link, but I’ll say it - fetlife has the biggest network of global event information and the findamunch.com website draws from a multitude of sources to give you a run down of munch and event activity near you. Most of these will be direct links back to where they are posted on fetlife. Munches should be ok for people to just drop in on from the general information, but if they have to do last minute changes of time or venue, if you’re not registered as going or maybe going through fetlife- then you’ll miss out. Some more private gatherings/events will require you to register through fetlife for numbers and details of exact venue as most people holding private events will not just have the address publically out there. This can also include education events like peer rope groups/workshops and visiting specialists for those smaller communities.

So for all the newbies expecting the source of all munch and event detail to be on this site - it’s not.

This website could act like the findamunch site and draw from the main event lists to give people here a real idea about what’s happening in their area without all the fuss - but being realistic, people will need a fetlife account to make the most of it and it is free.

oh god, yeah - I've seen a few times where there's been a venue change or last minute location change ("top floor is booked, we're on the middle floor") and I think this is another reason why some organisers may be reluctant to have to maintain too many profiles.

Hmm.

OK - so I mentioned Liber8 above (next one September) and I've added that to the events board here.  Also Sunderland is the second Wednesday, that's on the events board.  Durham is the second Sunday and that's pending on the events board...

I'm just waiting permission to post Newcastle munch up (that's this Sunday...)
