The Sadist and the Masochist

I bruised for him. He laughed away my sobs.

I came for him. He didn't come to me

I pledged allegiance. He flew another flag.

I savoured the taste of him. He washed away my smell after every bedding.

I used him for ***. He used me for pleasure.

I used him to feel needed. He used me to be needed.

I flattered him. He whispered terrible truths to me with his hands around my throat.

I saw him at his lowest. He still made me look up to him

I lifted him up. He drowned me in his misery.

I knew the risks. He ensured I lost the bet.

I was cut deeply to the core. It was he who wore the scars.

I was burned. I now live free of those ashes. He still smells the smoke, feels it sting his eyes. I hope it reminds him; to do better, to be better.
