Our aims are:
To treat each member in a fair and equal manner without prejudice of race, religion, disability, gender, sexuality or alternative lifestyle.
To encourage MARS members to help and support each other in a positive and constructive manner.
To provide regular events, small conferences, workshops and social gatherings.
To provide an affordable space for MARS members to hire.
To bring a fresh and inclusive outlook to the local and wider scene.
To raise funds for CHARITIES by the holding fundraising events and regular tombolas.
We are NEUTRAL GROUND!!! on which the community can express itself.
MARS venue and it's volunteers have NO INTEREST in scene politics, so please do not speak for us, presume we know all aspects of scene squabbles and fall outs, ask us to get involved or take sides. We hold our own counsel, we will be aggrieved if you denigrate the reputation of the MARS venue, it's volunteers or members of our community in online discussions in a negative and oppressive manner.
MARS is a non profit making venture.
A membership system is in place.
Please remember we are run by VOLUNTEERS who receive no *** whatsoever for all their hard work, whether they donate items we can sell to raise funds to keep MARS running or give their precious time, whether it is a few hours to days at a time their continued kindness and support mean we can continue to run as one of only a few NOT FOR PROFIT Alternative Lifestyle PRIVATE MEMBERS Club and VENUE in UK
Being a small venue, places for events held at MARS are limited to 30 or so people, please contact the event organiser's of the event you are interested in attending to reserve your place on their guest list.
We work very hard to innovate and bring fresh ideas to the scene. We are lucky to have many talented members who help us with their expertise and enable us to bring you experiences of unrivaled quality. Our unique ethos creates a breeding ground for ideas and we support and give recognition to those who share their genius with us. Come and break new ground rather than walk with the followers.
M.A.R.S as an Alternative Lifestyle Community venue, we are an officially recognised non profit private members club for people in Alternative Lifestyles.
