I know one domme who had a tour of Ireland planned and had to cancel because of travel restriction.

woke up to find Club Black Whip gone also.

Gov expected to ban large gatherings and whether 'large' is 100, 500 or 1000 will have a big impact.

But then, even if your event is normally circa 50 people, if you lose 10-20 it can be ***ful

Not kink related, but had training after work this Monday with about 30 people due to attend. I was told yesterday it has been cancelled....maybe a little cautious on their part but I'm not complaining as after a 10 hour shift I'd rather just go home!

Like - I got made redundant last week

This made me try to look on bright sides - more free time for kink (so long as I get back into employment quickly)

Country goes into pretty much lockdown, doh!

Before my retirement, i worked for a Fortune 50 company at its HQ in NYC. My team produced a worldwide executive training module for each continent in preparation for a (H5N1 viral) pandemic based on the historical 1918 Spanish Influenza (H1N1 virus) pandemic.

During my tenure at the Company; the ppreparedness plan never required implementation. What I witnessed in the executive trainings was a lack of leadership by some high powered execs and tremendous exceptional performance from those without titles or big salaries, but who were able to successfully improvise, adapt and overcome.

As we face the anxiety of a deadly virus, a yet to come major earthquake, and political turmoil which threatens to unravel our social fabric, consider the advice and wisdom of the first century Roman philosopher Seneca. His correspondence with a friend was published under the title of “Letters from a Stoic.” In his13th letter he wrote:

There are more things . . . likely to frighten us than there are to crush us; we suffer more often in imagination than in reality.

He then offered this which relates to exaggerated ***s:

It is likely that some troubles will befall us; but it is not a present fact. How often has the unexpected happened! How often has the expected never come to pass! And even though it is ordained to be, what does it avail to run out to meet your suffering? You will suffer soon enough, when it arrives; so look forward meanwhile to better things. What shall you gain by doing this? Time. There will be many happenings meanwhile which will serve to postpone, or end, or pass on to another person, the trials which are near or even in your very presence. . . Even bad fortune is fickle. Perhaps it will come, perhaps not; in the meantime it is not. So look forward to better things.

Seneca may not be the best authority on *** and panic, but he was wise beyond his time. Or maybe the truth is we are not as smart as we think we are.

And what an interesting training module - with even more interesting results.

And thanks for bringing dear old Seneca back to me - flashback to Latin class, 1978...but  I beg to differ.  Seneca survived the emperorships of Caligula, Claudius (or more properly, Messalina) and a lot of Nero.  That's make anyone an authority on *** and panic!

Vandalslut: Folk in NSW’s Blue Mountains are equal authority to Seneca having survived hellish fires. We here in the (Utah) US Rocky Mountains had a magnitude 5.7 earthquake today. Maybe I shall book my post-rapture accommodations now?

Yes, that got a quickie mention in Webnews flash - among all the Covid Overload - you'd  better book in, I reckon, for that post-rapture accommodation...or do you want to wait til the plague of locusts has been and gone?

I am going to wait out indefinitely whatever is yet to come . Joined a loyalty program. Offers preferential treatment for an accommodation in the Dante tower. Stuck in level 2 now. Might be able to upgrade from level 2 up to level 1. I’ve heard of an exotic penthouse in Valhalla

We have been told to tetecommute for work unless we have to do something that can only be done on site.  Today I will be setting up a workspace I can use comfortably.  Tomorrow I will spend a few hours working wearing nothing but bondage tape.  The virus has had its advantages.

As the motivational WWII Brit slogan says, “Keep Calm and Carry On” is easily modified to spin it up to say whatever one’s kink or fetish may be. Well put cautiousswitch. Imaginative too.

The Valhalla penthouse is gone, sorry.  A mob of 15 year olds pre-empted 'Schoolies Week' and are there now getting absolutely rat-arsed. Don't be down about it, it was a time-share anyway.

Ha! That is good one.

All I was hoping for was to be escorted into the afterlife by (shield bearer) Valkyrie. I’ve got time in my favor, as Seneca wrote.

There are sure a lot of pervy people on here making good use of their imaginations. I like that !

Be well Vandalslut.

Why stop at one Valkyrie? Make a party of it!  Yes, there are many very imaginative and bright people, there are many very sweet people and kind people and generous people.  Enjoy them all, ReifenMaster, as they are in the majority.

I shall be well if you stay kinky. ;)

New twist - potentially kink positive results of Covid-19.

My anniversary date at work is the end of this month and they only let us roll over 240 hours of vacation time; I will have about 4 days more than that.  I can let them expire and just work from home.  I can use them and just sit around at home.

The BDSM club I go to has been planning expansions.  I checked and they may be ready to start demolition into a space they are expanding into in about a week - and would gladly use the free labour.  Not your typical vacation, but better than digging through computer records or watching TV all day.

I refuse to let it dominate my life, or put *** into it.  That being said, I am responsible at the same time, and have been following social distancing measures.  Hopefully we are past the worst of it in terms of death rates.  I just hope there isn't another spike, that's all.

I have a sub, with whom I have been having an online LDR.  We wish to meet in person.  But, Covid has made the 12-hour drive across the Southwestern U.S., virtually insurmountable.  We had talked about meeting at a half-way point.  However, that point lies within the Navajo Nation, which has been hit especially hard by Covid.  All hotels/motels along that section of Interstate 40 have been shut-down.  Some towns have been closed completely to outsiders.  Airline travel is also near impossible, due to travel restrictions, possible quarantines, cancelled flights, etc.  Even driving, we can't be certain what roadblocks or quarantines exist along the way.  We'll just have to wait until this is over.

It's actually worked out really well for me (oddly I know) and led to some amazing conversations that have allowed me to realise my own kinks which I'm starting to explore now. It also helps that I found a regular source of loo roll ;)
