BTW, I am not a Pro Dom, I just noticed some discussions about it here and on Fetlife.

I think people's opinions on, say, fetlife doesn't necessarily equate to a lack of acceptance.  Consider in general that is a site that actively censors Pro-Dommes

(still, they're not allowed on this platform at all)

Well I wouldn’t outright call it “the predator factor” but men are usually the perceived(<-the most important word in this context) threat regardless of actual power/position, also since you are basically asking about the gender disparity among sex workers i think it should be mentioned that the stereotypical bachelorette party stripper makes up a significant percentage of sex workers hired buy women so there is just less marked to work with
And lastly while i know some pro-dominae who are successful enough to have that as their main/only income(you know the ones opening studios and teaching people), basically all pro-doms i know of have some sort of counseling or creative work as their main job which is connected to their dom work if they are lucky(like the guys with the black latex gloves in BDSM porn, the ones you can find on the other side of the kink academy advertising their classes or the ones doing bondage art photography)
So combine the perceived(<-again a really important word) difference in experience that comes with supplying a smaller market with the different levels of respect between a mainline professional and a side hustler and you have most of your answer, in this case it’s a lot less about hating males than expected
