I think that it could really have something to do with being young and having a smoker as a parent. With being so close and physically touching them you get used to the smell of the smoke on their bodies clothes and their breath I guess. So in my mind I'm assuming that this causes a subconscious Bond turning into a sexual desire because love is love it sounds weird but I think most fetishes come from when you were younger
