Wealthy BDSM Dating | Kinky and rich?

The sign up page of Wealthy BDSM Dating seems to be going for functional rather than engaging. There’s certainly nothing to suggest any serious financial investment, a bit of an issue considering the name of the website. The black and purple colour scheme is slightly dated, and the title font looks suspiciously like Comic Sans.

At this stage, it’s not clear if everybody involved is meant to be both kinky and rich, or if it’s a meetup point for finding a sugar arrangement. Encouragingly, there’s a lot of blurb about the potential to chat with new friends from all over the world, finding your dream match and discovering what’s going on in the community. The images are nicely kinky too, with much better photos than your standard-issue low budget fetish dating site.

Wealthy BDSM Dating | User experience

After signing up, you are presented with few lines about how seriously they take your privacy, and a verification code is sent to you by email. Apparently, they review each application on an individual basis, and if your face fits, you get the code. Wealthy BDSM Dating lets you ‘friend’ people, and as your friend list mounts up, you can use this feature to narrow a search.

You can also look for all the friends on your list, your top friends or the friends who are currently online. I didn't find many members in my local area, or even many that looked genuine in a wider search. There were a lot of abandoned profiles with little text and no image, and this is reflected in the most of the community and chat spaces, where the last post happened about six months ago.

The group's area is a lonely place with ten sections in all, and I’d estimate that at least half of these have been set up by professionals on the lookout for new clients. Most are happy to detail their services, so there seems to be no attempt being made by the owners of the site to kick them out.

The other handful of groups on Wealthy BDSM Dating have an average of five members each and relate to different fetishes like tickling, cuckolds and others. Inside each group the activity is minimal and there seems to be no chat at all.

Wealthy BDSM Dating Community Feel | Where are all the kinksters?

There are no forums to meet contacts , casually but over at the blogs, there’s a lot more action, though the content is just like the small ads section of a porn mag. Another area of Wealthy BDSM Dating where there’s page after page of escorts and pro dom/me profiles, all located in the USA, offering a range of services that you wouldn't expect to pay for on a dating site. It must work or they wouldn't do it, but this is a kinky dating site and the ads make it an unwelcoming place for daters. It seems like at Wealthy BDSM Dating, not surprisingly, it’s all about business.

Where can I find info on the fetish scene on Wealthy BDSM Dating?

The announcements section has no social purpose; it’s just a few rules about photos, mainly asking members to keep their images in "good taste", though this isn't actually qualified by examples of good taste, for hardly anyone bothers putting up a profile picture anyway. It, therefore, seems to be aimed at people advertising their services as a Mistress.

Another announcement explains the search feature and there’s also advice on what to do if you lose your password. I was hoping for announcements of forthcoming events, parties and meet-ups, but I couldn't find that, or any other sense of community on this site.

Wealthy BDSM Dating | Final thoughts

Wealthy BDSM Dating feels deserted and scammy. Hardly anyone appears to be online; it seems to be being monopolised by ads for sex workers. You’re not going to find anyone to chat to, any insightful information about the fetish lifestyle or any genuine interaction at all - not unless you’re in the USA and you’re willing to pay for it.
