Hey Kinksters!

I got an invitation to try out for Voyeur House. 30 day trial then 30000 a month salary. Anyone heard of it? On the up and up? I can't see the scam or down side. Im soliciting your two cents lol. Thanks!

I'm  not sure WHERE the scam is.  But it's a scam.

I'm aware of Voyeur House and how it works.   And this 30,000 a month is why I know what's being offered to you is a scam, probably not from them.

So, how it works is you apply to them and say why you're special.  Install the cams and voila.  On assumption you're doing enough stuff that has you as someone who is interesting, then great.

They basically take all the subscription fees and 50% of that goes into paying the participants.  But it'll be a rev share basis so the more people who watch you the higher your share.  So, because of that - there's no way of being certain of any level of revenue.

--

I think perhaps where the scam comes in is that you will proceed with this conversation and then the person you are speaking to will then want *** up front for cameras or to install cameras - and maybe it'll be a few hundred or low thousands - but - hey - you'll be making 30k a month, right, you'll make that back before the first month... and you pay the *** for the cameras/installation and then that's it.  Duck eggs.

--

If this HAS come from them, then it's probably less of a scam - but the 30k is more likely to be a headline figure rather than realistic earnings.

Thanks for the feedback, black sheep. I certainly am vetting them and will never send ***.

there's an old saying about how if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is

there's an issue within the adult industry also between people posing as other sites

I saw the ad on sexyjobs* and someone is in touch with me now. I also applied on the site.

I'd be very careful.

Even if it's not a scam who are they going to sell the content to?

Do they want a live feed from you?

Will they need "access" to your home network?

How do you know what you'll actually get paid or if you'll get paid?

Are they asking for your bank details?

I'd go very slowly. In fact I'd probably avoid like the plague.

So applying via the website is safe?

I think a lot is 'define safe'

but, like I say - always be wary of headline figures.  It's clear from the website it's a revenue share - and this means revenue fluctuates and you need more views to get a bigger share.

This obviously puts on pressure for you to put on 'a show' - something that people will be interested in watching - and, legally, every single person who comes to your house will have to know they are being live streamed or you could find yourself in hot water.

30.000?? What currency is it. A bit of common sense would make that offer ridiculous!
But of course you are adult enough to do what ever you want but make sure you don’t give your  bank details and send any *** asked for an admin fee or any other clever wordings to empty your bank account.

@FabSeverus That’s what I’d been thinking the moment I read the OP — “thirty thousand what, rubles?” (Fun fact — 30,000 ₽ is roughly equivalent at current exchange rates to £300.)

I'm thinking they pay a lot because of what is expected of us. Thanks all for the cents...I will be careful, as always. It's 15k if I don't consent to gangbanging and bdsm but why not? Lol. If it's too good tbt at least I wouldn't have lost anything

Are you quite sure on which currency this is actually in?

Are they sourcing people for these gangbangs and BDSM activities? Because if it's on you to find someone, it's going to be difficult to find somebody who is willing to be filmed (and you would be breaking the law if they didn't know) and getting in a pro would be paid out of your "salary"

Equally, if they are providing people you tend not to get a say in who you work with.  (I mean, you do, you just don't get paid) it's also going to be pretty embarassing if someone organises a gang bang, if you've never done one before, and you find (as a lot of men discover in their first gang bang) that it's difficult to focus with an audience.

you will also have to get, and pay for, regular testing.

The main reason I don't believe this is because you are (without being disrespectful) inexperience, so why would someone inexperienced be offered 30k per month just-because-they-applied?   For that sort of *** they could rent/ a villa and set up cameras and invite in a bunch of known and up-and-coming porn stars to live for a month.

-
I feel just to be aware, this all does sound too good to be true - so don't be surprised when there's one catch or another.

-

The other question mark here is the 'one month trial' before being paid.  So, let us pretend this is 100% legitimate.  If it gets to the end of the trial, they can terminate you and you appear to get nothing.

So, the questions I would ask are.

The cameras, audio equipment and broadband needed to run these.   Who is providing this?

Are you expected to source other people to be on camera with, or are they sourcing them?

If they are sourcing them, does this mean you will be asked to travel to another similar location? If this is in the first month, who is paying for the travel?

You will need 3 months worth of full STI tests before you can even begin this (if they're allowing you to film with people other than your partner before then - then this is DEFINITELY a scam) this costs *** (the over the desk home kits will not do. You will need to go to a clinic and get tested, telling them it's for adult work, and paying for certification.)

So I would ask what certification and vaccinations do you require?

So for example, I'm tested for Chlamaydia, Gonnorrhoea, HIV, Syphilis, Hep A, B and C.   They might ask for more.

If they decide not to offer you a salary (or offer below what you expect) after the trial, what happens with footage involving you that they have?

--

Because this is what could happen.

You are told you the equipment and given a bunch of specs.  This is going to run into the hundreds and you're going to have to make sure your wifi can handle it, which might involve bumping up the package.

You are paying for tests, which in a month period, especially if you are having sex or doing sex acts, you will need another one before your first payment.  Prices vary on location.  As I say you normally need 3 months worth up front as HIV has a 3 month incubation period, so you've ended up paying for maybe 4 - which will total the low hundreds.

If you're being asked to travel, this again is an expense.

If you have to source your own people to film with then this is going to come with rates.  So, if you're having someone over for B/G or are paying for a gangbang this can be mid hundreds to low thousands.

So you could get to the end of the trial with 4-figures worth of costs, and then the site end your trial.  Then what?  Especially if they still have footage of yours they're deciding to keep because you signed all the release forms at the start.

How do you protect yourself from this scenario?

Oh, yessir. I’m being careful. Good point about home network. I wish I knew how to contact other performers already working. Researching as we speak...

Yes, good points to consider. Once I secure at least a room, I start with these tough questions and if they aren’t ok with me asking for references never mind. I also am applying everywhere for actual work. They do supply all though. Testing fees, I will ask. I appreciate your comprehensive comments, black sheep! Thank you.

that they seemingly approved you without this again has me curious.

contacting other performers are easy.  you use a site like sexy jobs, adult folio, etc. you find someone near enough and their rates - and you contact them with your proposal and then if they say yes you pay them

that's again something to ask about how/if they can match you up

I mean people already employee s of VH. To ask what's on up and up and what's not. In any case they pay for my housing. That's at least 2000 savings there, as long as they don't ask for ***. Yes?

And they provide other performers and an entertainment budget

so this ties in with what I'd said previously.  So, you can ask if they have anyone else they can match you up with.  But it might be you don't really get a say in who you perform with.  So it could be someone the other side of the country.  And/or who you don't find attractive.

If this headline salary is as much as implied, a lot of what you need is going to come out of that.

if you're being paid 30k a month, why do you need a budget on top of this?

I haven't gone far through the process yet, but the same could be asked of the free rent. I'll be happy if they pick up just that lol. It's been a cold January on center street lol

Sounds like some bs you might want to avoid altogether lol just sayin. Far more scams than legit shit out there. Be cautious & good luck.
