Where Are All The Women?!

the concept of a finite amount of potential partners is true - but also something that works two ways

So you take what you're looking for like an over the top game of Guess Who

so looking for a woman. remove those too far away. remove those who are in a mono relationship. remove those who are gay. remove those too old, or too young for us - and a woman applying similar social filters are going to find the same amount of men as men would women

OK, so now... we apply things in common and while it may be that some specialist hobbies really do have fewer matches (like if someone HAS to be into early 90s Norwegian Heavy metal or HAS to be into table top gaming - not just accept this is something you're into - but I guess if you wanted a partner into 90s Norwegian Heavy Metal you would attend shows by those bands, and if you wanted a partner into whatever hobby you'd take that up in person - hmmm, theme here)

Someone who is kinky, or open-to-kink isn't as uncommon as it seems.  While there are issues some people have bringing things up, especially if they have a very set way how things should work, people are still out there.

If women were finite, if the demand was greater than the supply (great analogy for human beings) I can't help thinking that men, as you suggest, would make more effort instead of sending shit like this,
.
"Mmm damn Babygirl, you down to get all dripping wet for Daddy’s huge black cock 😏💦👅?"
.
And yet, there it is, in my inbox. From a man putting in the "effort"

Some people can practice for hours a day and never get better at playing guitar.

But if this happened.  So someone decides they want to learn to play guitar and they practice for hours a day and a month later they're not really any better

Should the person

a) Find out why they're not doing any better

b) Try to join a band - moan no one will give them a chance when they fail

c) Take their guitar to buskers nights and try to entertain a crowd

and really, it's a fucking no brainer here.  The answer is (a)

If they do a few simple googles of why they're not getting any better at guitar one of the first things that will come up is that they're practicing for hours thinking that'll make them better.   Practice needs purpose and structure.  If you pick up a guitar and noodle for a couple of hours some bits might sound good, but you'll forget how you did them and not really get any better.

But really the ideal practice time is around 15-30 minutes and any longer than that should have some form of break.   People tend to remember better what they learn at the start or end of a practice session, so practicing 30 minutes a day 5 days a week is going to do a lot better than one 3 hour sitting

They would also find guides on what to practice and how to create an effective practice routine - including how to structure their time.

So if someone has been practicing guitar and still sucks at it, is still getting turned away from bands, is still finding even the non smokers take up smoking when they go to open mic nights - then they have not focused the effort efficiently.  They have picked up a guitar, twiddled, and hoped for the best.

This is the same as some of the guys who put in low effort and never learn.  What they think is effort is just noodling.  And they haven't sought to learn why they're doing no better with it.

There is no shortage of women but there is a finite number and an even more finite number of potential partners. Most of us wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case. The higher the demand vs supply the higher the amount of required effort/*** to aquire something. If there wasn't scarcity among potential partners there wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar, multi-layered industry built around finding a mate.

The chance of getting hold of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is many times greater than finding a partner here on this site.

That is true but it doesn't negate my point.

one thing I sometimes wonder

there are guys who will constant/often say things are impossible or grossly unlikely.  But are still here. Who still login.  Who return under new profiles.

And, why? I don't get it?  If your objective is to find a partner and you don't feel it's possible here - then is there a better use of time? And I'm not saying someone should or shouldn't use the site - but - if you don't feel the objective can be achieved - why not partake in other avenues?

Under new profiles or change their username but those that have been round ling enough recognise the photo or style/content of their comments and know who they are and stay clear

I would suggest that those people soundproof their room so that they don't annoy their neighbours. Same analogy

So they should quit looking? Isn't that why we have the whole incel issue?

I've a longer comment above about if a guitarist is practicing but doesn't improve

it is still on them to find why their 'practice' isn't productive and doesn't move them forward

Yes but it illustrates the point that there is scarcity in what will work for a given individual and that scarcity will differ between individuals as well.

Imagine giving up because men who are 6'4" are only like 1% of the population.

I don't think so. Incels don't stop looking or give up until they end up shooting at people and then themselves. Trouble is, is that they do more than look because they have a sense of entitlement, they badger, get obscene then become more than rude when that doesn't work. It's cyclic and it escalates and there is no helping them because they don't want to be helped.

That's a really simplistic, off the cuff response but I've worked a 13hr day and I'm still not done

I'm too short for someone 6'4. Honestly, I stood next to someone 7'3 this morning (and continues to grow) and felt like a child in comparison
